Review by hotel critic
During our recent two-night stay at Plantevin in July, I had mixed feelings about the balance of luxury and value. The setting was incredibly peaceful, tucked away on a quiet mountain road, and the large swimming pool was a refreshing escape from the summer heat. Our room was comfortable and clean, equipped with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, which was satisfying. On the downside, an unfortunate incident occurred when my wife fell down the steps due to inadequate lighting. Despite reporting this to the staff, I felt our concerns were not addressed properly. No formal apology was offered, and my request for night lights in our room was ignored. While the restaurant impressed with its excellent food quality, I think it’s important for the hotel to prioritize safety alongside its charming offerings. Plantevin has potential, but I recommend discreetly assessing the value considering these factors.
